Problem

Split account, project, task and notification management into services, connect them through events and organize independent version releases.

Implementation

  • React client and API Gateway in front of the authentication, project, task and notification services.
  • JWT authentication, project management and task status updates.
  • Redis/BullMQ for asynchronous events and task counter updates.
  • SSE and email notifications; in-memory, SQLite and MySQL storage options.
  • Changesets, selective GitHub Actions checks and Docker image publication to GHCR.
  • Release manifests with image digests and Docker Compose deployment scripts.

Decision

HTTP handles direct user requests, while events connect background changes. A versioned manifest fixes the set of images used by an environment.

Coordinate API contracts and service versions while reusing unchanged images during releases and deployments.

Outcome

The public repository contains the application, tests, technical documentation and CI/CD workflows.
